About
I am a contemporary abstract artist, educator, and Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate whose work is rooted in the landscapes and rhythms of Northern Ontario. Using acrylic and mixed media, I explore the space where nature, memory, and emotion intersect. My paintings begin with intuition, evolving through layers of colour, texture, and expressive mark-making until a story begins to emerge.
As both an artist and educator, I believe creativity has the power to foster curiosity, connection, and new ways of seeing the world. Whether I’m teaching in the classroom or creating in my studio, I am continually inspired by the process of exploration and discovery.
My solo exhibition at the Sault Ste. Marie Museum is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and experience the quiet beauty that can be found in abstraction. While inspired by the natural world, my work is less about recreating what we see and more about capturing what we feel—moments of wonder, change, and connection that often escape words.
I hope each painting offers viewers the freedom to interpret it in their own way and to leave with a sense of curiosity, calm, or recognition.
